The Institute for Leadership and Public Policy (ILPP) successfully implemented the 8-day training program “Next Gen Career Up” in Tetovo, engaging young people in a dynamic learning experience focused on building practical skills for their future careers.

Over the course of the program, participants were actively involved in a series of hands-on sessions designed to help them better understand their career paths and the realities of today’s job market. Through interactive methods and group work, the training created a space where young people could reflect on their goals, explore their potential, and gain confidence in their abilities.

The training placed strong emphasis on real-life application. Participants worked on developing their professional profiles, improving their CVs and motivation letters, and practicing how to present themselves in front of potential employers. These practical components allowed them to directly apply what they learned in a supportive and engaging environment.

As the training progressed, discussions shifted toward more complex topics such as dealing with uncertainty in career choices, overcoming personal and professional barriers, and making informed decisions about the future. Participants were encouraged to think critically about their strengths and to approach challenges as opportunities for growth.

A particularly important aspect of the program was the focus on inclusion and empowerment. The sessions encouraged open dialogue on the role of young people- especially women- in the workforce, highlighting the importance of equal opportunities and self-confidence in professional development.

In addition to technical preparation, the program also strengthened essential soft skills. Communication, teamwork, and networking were continuously practiced throughout the sessions, helping participants feel more prepared to enter professional environments and collaborate effectively.

The training concluded in a positive and motivating atmosphere, with participants reflecting on their progress and the knowledge gained throughout the 8 days. Beyond skills, they leave the program with increased motivation, clearer direction, and stronger belief in their potential.

With the implementation of “Next Gen Career Up” in Tetovo, ILPP continues to invest in youth development by creating opportunities for learning, growth, and active participation in the labor market.
