The Institute for Leadership and Public Policy (ILPP) successfully marked King’s Day with a dynamic event that brought together young people, institutional representatives, and professionals to promote career development, youth empowerment, and gender inclusion.
The event was honored by the presence of Her Excellency Özlem Canel, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, along with representatives from universities, the private sector, and civil society. Over 70 young participants from the Pollog region and Skopje attended the event.
At the heart of the event was an interactive panel discussion titled “Facing Career Challenges – Especially for Women, and Choosing Well-Paid Professions,” which created space for open dialogue between experienced professionals and young participants. The discussion addressed key issues such as the gap between education and labor market demands, gender inequalities in career choices, and the importance of practical skills and mentorship in building successful career paths.
Participants shared personal experiences and practical advice, encouraging young people to take proactive steps in shaping their careers and to explore opportunities beyond traditional paths.
