LEADING CHANGE WITH MEANINGFUL VOICES: OPEN DISCUSSION HELD IN TETOVO MUNICIPALITY ON WOMEN’S PARTICIPATION IN DECISION-MAKING

As part of the project “Leading Change Through Meaningful Voices”, supported by the German Embassy in Skopje, a constructive meeting was held bringing together the Mayor of Tetovo, the President of the Municipal Council, council members, citizens, and media representatives.

The discussion highlighted the importance of increasing women’s participation in decision-making and policymaking processes. Empowering women in leadership roles contributes to stronger communities, better governance, and positive outcomes that benefit not only women, but society as a whole.

We are encouraged by the support and engagement demonstrated during this event and remain committed to fostering collaboration among local institutions, citizens, and stakeholders. Through joint efforts, we aim to achieve meaningful results that strengthen democracy, promote social inclusion, and create opportunities for sustainable community development.
