YOUTH AND LABOUR MARKET TRENDS INDEX 2026 PRESENTED AT A ROUNDTABLE IN TETOVO

A roundtable discussion was held in Tetovo, bringing together a broad audience and members of the Socio-Economic Council of Tetovo for the presentation of the findings of the Youth and Labour Market Trends Index 2026.

The event marked the completion of a three-month research process conducted within the Next-Gen Career-Up project, implemented by the Institute for Leadership and Public Policy (ILPP) with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in North Macedonia.

The research findings opened an important discussion on the challenges young people face when transitioning from higher education to the labour market, as well as the need for stronger links between education and employment.

The discussion also highlighted the importance of cooperation among educational institutions, public institutions, employers, and other relevant stakeholders in creating better opportunities for young people and responding more effectively to the needs of the labour market.

ILPP extends its special appreciation to Prof. Dr. Besa Arifi for conducting the research and for her professional contribution throughout the entire process.
