Research results about youth emerging needs in the Polog region.
"Always active youth, even in challenging times" is a project supported by the British Embassy in Skopje, and implemented by the Institute for Leadership and Public Policy.
The project aims at supporting youth and alleviating problems experienced during the pandemic through different activities, promoting their talents, developing their interests, holding lectures on developing healthy living habits, and more.
Through group discussions, the youth participants expressed their dissatisfaction with the lack of common spaces where they can hang out, talk about ideas, and develop community. In Tetovo and its surrounding region there is no space which serve youth specifically for furthering career development (trainings, business entrepreneurship groups, start-ups, youth hubs, community mentors and resources, etc.).
Based on this, in order to prove these and other similar assumptions, a research questionnaire was developed. The survey was widely shared among the youth in Tetovo and the surrounding rural areas. Over 400 responses were collected.
